Medical, Vision, Dental Sanford Rose•JFSPartners is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well established manufacturing company in DeLand, Florida. This position will play a key role in overseeing daily accounting operations, supporting month-end close, partnering closely with HR on payroll-related accounting matters, and driving process improvements across the accounting function.
Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution. Partner closely with HR on payroll accounting, PTO and comp time tracking, employee benefits, insurance-related accounting, and payroll reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Review and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts while ensuring accurate expense coding and allocations. Prepare sales tax filings, assist with audits, and support compliance and reporting requirements. Analyze, clean up, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger, helping improve financial accuracy and budget reporting. Develop financial reports and provide analysis to support budgeting, capital expenditures, and management decision-making. Assist with accounting system enhancements, process improvements, internal controls, and other special projects to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education is required. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of financial experience is required; experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Experience in the use of automated business management systems such as BPICS, SAP, Sage 100, etc., Excellent interpersonal, team building, and communication skills are required.
