$75,000•95,000 (Depending On Experience) Position Summary A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to support financial operations, inventory management, and manufacturing cost analysis. This role will partner closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance leadership to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain and analyze standard costs, labor costs, material costs, and manufacturing overhead. Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations and assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories. Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material usage, scrap, and overhead absorption. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting and inventory. Develop and maintain BOMs (Bills of Materials) and routing structures within the ERP system. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and manufacturing efficiencies. Prepare margin analysis and profitability reporting by product line and business unit. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP requirements. Support external audits and provide requested financial documentation. Assist with capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset accounting as needed. Create ad hoc financial analyses and management reports. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3-7 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing and inventory accounting. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. #
