We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team environment and wants hands-on exposure to sales tax, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and general accounting operations. Position Overview The Junior Accountant will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial activities, with a strong emphasis on sales tax compliance across multiple nexus states , bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and account analysis. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, eager to learn, and comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced aviation business. Responsibilities Assist with sales tax compliance , including multi-state / multiple nexus tracking, reporting, and documentation Support preparation and review of sales tax filings Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Process accounts payable , vendor invoices, approvals, and payment support Assist with credit card reconciliations and expense coding Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Help with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Communicate with vendors, internal departments, and team members to resolve accounting questions Support audits, tax requests, and special accounting projects as needed Work closely with the accounting team to improve processes and maintain strong internal controls Qualifications 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or related experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred Experience with sales tax strongly preferred; multi-state exposure is a plus Knowledge of bank reconciliations and accounts payable processes Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team environment Strong communication skills and willingness to learn Aviation industry experience is a plus, but not required What We Offer Full-time position with stable hours Team-oriented accounting environment Opportunity to gain experience in aviation accounting Exposure to multi-state sales tax and compliance work Competitive salary based on experience How to Apply Please submit your resume for consideration.
