We thrive on turning ideas into solutions and always strive for excellence. Micrologic is seeking a qualified Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of complex accounting functions, serve as a key contributor to the monthly close process, and provide guidance to junior team members. The Senior Staff Accountant is expected to bring a higher degree of independent judgment, technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration than a Staff Accountant — while remaining flexible and ready to pitch in wherever needed.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Accounting Apply thorough knowledge of GAAP and industry-specific accounting standards to all transactions and reporting Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries; maintain detailed supporting documentation Own the monthly reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts, with timely resolution of variances Lead or assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper disclosure Perform and document flux analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, clearly communicating drivers to management Financial Reporting & Analysis Develop and maintain financial reports to identify trends, track patterns, and surface actionable insights (e.g., warranty costs, project travel, item sales, revenue by category) Contribute to FP&A deliverables including budget-to-actual analysis, forecasting inputs, and management reporting packages Identify opportunities for data-driven analysis across Finance and in partnership with other departments (Operations, Sales, Purchasing) Close Process & Internal Controls Take ownership of assigned close tasks and proactively surface issues that could impact reporting deadlines Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, SOPs, and internal control documentation Support audit readiness by maintaining organized workpapers and responding to auditor inquiries Review and approve weekly employee expense reports in accordance with company policy Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Provide day-to-day guidance and review support to Staff Accountants and other junior Finance team members Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Purchasing, AR/AP) to improve financial processes and data accuracy Drive process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing manual effort, and strengthening controls Support system and tool improvements, including ERP optimization, automation opportunities, and reporting enhancements Ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned by the Accounting Manager orCFOQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred 5-7 years of progressive general accounting experience; public accounting background a plus Solid command of GAAP, general ledger mechanics, and financial close processes Strong ERP proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and CRM/accounting software (Zoho, NetSuite, or similar) Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy, organization, and ownership Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior team members Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable breaking down complex issues and presenting findings clearly Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interface effectively across departments and with leadership Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized — thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Ability to manage competing priorities, pivot quickly, and apply critical thinking to novel situations Collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships across the organizationPay:
