Job Description:
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Accountant III to support our Financial Operations team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate tax compliance and reporting for a large, complex not-for-profit university. What You'll Do
  • Manage tax compliance processes, including sales & use tax (FL & PR) and income tax withholding
  • Prepare and file tax returns and related workpapers (Form 990, 990-T, 1041s, 5500s, etc.)
  • Reconcile tax liability accounts and support the monthly and year-end close
  • Maintain and support tax filing software (ProSystem)
  • Monitor tax law changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders
  • Assist with policy updates, internal trainings, and process improvements What We're Looking For ? Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field ? 4+ years of accounting/tax experience ? Strong Excel skills and solid workpaper documentation ? Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills ? Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred
  • Master's in Accounting and/or CPA
  • Experience in not-for-profit or fund accounting
  • Knowledge of non-profit tax rules
