Staff Accountant | Southwest Florida A growing and established manufacturing organization in Southwest Florida is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking for long-term stability, outstanding benefits, profit sharing, and room for advancement within a successful company.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare financial reports and schedules
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Analyze general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist with business insurance administration and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Experience working within an ERP system is required
- Experience with batch accounting processes is required
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
