Job Description

Job Title:
Senior Accountant Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, preparing analyses to support operational decisions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate has strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP. Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations against budgets and forecasts. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of transactions. Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash activity across multiple locations. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analyses. Review and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures. Support audits (internal and external) by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Collaborate with operations, billing, and revenue cycle teams to resolve accounting discrepancies. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
