Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team at our Southbank Plaza location here in the Jacksonville, FL area. As a Senior Accountant at Baptist Health's Southbank Plaza , you'll play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your week will include managing fixed assets and work-in-progress updates, reviewing and processing capital requisitions, and ensuring monthly closing schedules are met. You'll prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts payable and materials, and compile monthly statistical and sales tax reports. You'll also support audit preparation and reporting related to property, plant, and equipment. In this role, you'll work closely with the Finance and Accounting team to provide timely, accurate financial data that supports informed decision-making and the continued growth of Baptist Health. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for: Provide leadership appropriate to a senior level accountant Prepare accurate General Ledger, Journal entries are prepared from information obtained from various entities systems to record monthly revenue and expenses Reviewed General Ledger and Financial reports for accuracy, reasonableness, and GAAP compliance Reconcile balances Prepares and distributes month end financial reports Complete all assigned audit and tax work papers accurately and be deadline provided Prepares and files accurate and timely city, state, and federal reports as assigned Assists and participates with inventory counts, cash control audits, and special reporting Handle management's questions/requests professionally and promptly Notify management of any unexpected financial statement variances and the underlying causes of those variances Meets as requested with physicians/leadership to review compensation formulas and financial activities
Senior Accountant Experience:
