Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will perform the following job duties: Duties & Responsibilities Record and review joint cost allocation calculation and supporting documentation. Assist with preparation and coordination of internal control reviews and the audit process. Assist with implementing, maintaining, and improving internal financial controls and procedures. Participate in consolidated monthly P&L review meetings, conduct variance analysis of areas of responsibility. Work with financial analyst to prepare monthly variance analysis (actual-to-budget-to-forecast comparison). Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, and conduct research of reconciling items. Prepare journal entries, including all supporting documentation. Complete general accounting tasks for month-end and year-end closings. Prepare supporting accounting schedules and maintain files. Interact with various departments throughout the organization. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of current accounting practices and principles (GAAP). Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse team members and build effective working relationships with team members. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills and analytical skills in problem solving.
