In this role, you will be instrumental in managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting financial reporting processes. Your expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's fiscal health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in corporate and governmental accounting within a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits for all financial transactions Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management to ensure precise financial data Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to verify the integrity of financial information across multiple ledgers Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation Maintain proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop to streamline data entry and reporting Contribute to budgeting processes, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making Assist with tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards Experience A college degree is NOT required if you have several years of documented experience. Attitude and aptitude are far more beneficial to your success with us. Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting roles with a strong understanding of GAAP principles Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms Background in public accounting is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong foundation in technical accounting is essential Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately using 10-key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping methods Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately and efficiently Excellent math skills combined with a solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, budget analysis, credit analysis, and account reconciliation Join us as a Staff Accountant where your expertise will directly impact our organization's financial integrity.
