We are looking for qualified individuals to support us at the store level in project completion. An individual who's applied skills will strengthen our company's position in a highly competitive market. We are an activity-based company, so professionalism and proficiency are necessary to our success. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting & Payroll Associate to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). This position serves as an assistant to the Accounting Director and will act as the primary accounting and payroll backup during periods of absence, vacation, or increased workload. The primary functions of this role are the accurate processing of payroll and the timely payment of employee expense reimbursements on a bi-weekly basis. The Accounting & Payroll Associate will also support general bookkeeping and accounting activities as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping and payroll experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Payroll & Expense Administration Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees. Review and verify timesheets, payroll data, and employee records. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings. Prepare payroll reports. Process and distribute employee and company expense reimbursements on a bi-weekly basis. Review expense submissions for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and reimbursements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Accounting & Bookkeeping Support Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts. Administrative & Department Support Serve as the accounting and payroll backup for the Accounting Manager. Assist the Accounting Manager with daily accounting operations and special projects. Ensure continuity of accounting and payroll functions during the Accounting Manager's absence. Cross-train on key accounting processes and maintain familiarity with essential financial procedures. Perform additional accounting, payroll, administrative, and related duties as assigned to support the department's needs. Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll processing. Demonstrated experience processing payroll and managing employee expense reimbursements. Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations. Experience with accounting and payroll software systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Compensation - Benefits Part-Time (20 hours per week) Starting at $35.00 per hour , with compensation commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise in payroll processing and accounting support. No Benefits as position is Part Time.
