This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations while supporting key controller functions, including financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple accounting functions and drive operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, internal policies, and financial controls Support controller-level responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal accounting controls, processes, and procedures Coordinate and manage external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with auditors Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting financial documentation Monitor and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and related accounting functions Provide leadership with operational reporting, financial insights, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and implementation of accounting best practices Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment Partner with senior management on strategic financial initiatives, reporting requirements, and operational efficiencies Assist with the development and execution of financial policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 10+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, and controller or assistant controller experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and internal controls Proven experience managing accounting operations and supporting executive leadership with financial reporting and analysis Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment CPA certification preferred but not required Preferred Experience Experience overseeing audits, compliance, and internal control environments Hands-on ERP system implementation or management experience preferred Prior leadership, team supervision, and staff development experience Experience supporting strategic financial planning, budgeting, and operational decision-making at the controller level

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
