About Us We're a full-service CPA firm in Maitland, Florida, and we've been at it since 1993. Tax preparation, certified audits, bookkeeping, and payroll
  • we serve a diverse client base, including broker-dealer audit clients registered with PCAOB.
We're proud of the long-term relationships we've built and the team that makes them possible. Our office is casual, our hours are flexible, and we take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. If you want to do meaningful accounting work without big-firm politics or rigid schedules, this is worth a conversation. About the Role This position sits at the center of our audit workflow
  • part coordinator, part client liaison, part accounting support.
It's a year-round role with a lot of variety: you'll track engagement timelines, communicate directly with clients, prepare reports, and handle general ledger work. The right person is organized, comfortable on the phone and in email with clients, and genuinely knows their way around Excel. We're open to full-time or part-time. Flexible scheduling is available. Experienced professionals who are semi-retired and looking for substantive part-time work are encouraged to apply. What You'll Be Doing Managing the flow of audit engagements
  • tracking due dates, open items, and what's in progress versus waiting on the client Preparing and sending engagement letters to clients (ongoing, year-round) Preparing FOCUS reports and distributing analytics to audit clients Preparing regulatory reports annually Coordinating with clients by phone and email to gather audit documentation, working from lists provided by the owner Reconciling selected general ledger accounts and performing write-up work (bank reconciliations, journal entries, G/L posting) Tracking employee timesheets and posting to our time and billing system Supporting intern recruiting during busy season•interviewing candidates, coordinating with local colleges, assisting with scheduling Answering phones as backup when needed What We're Looking For Strong Excel skills•this is non-negotiable; you'll live in spreadsheets Solid Microsoft Office proficiency overall Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable communicating professionally with clients by phone and email Accounting or bookkeeping background•familiarity with G/L work, bank recs, and journal entries is expected Prior experience in a CPA firm or professional services environment is a real plus FOCUS report experience is a bonus (broker-dealer background welcome) Schedule & Compensation Full-time or part-time•open to the right person on either basis Flexible hours available; not a rigid 9-to-5 Full-time employees receive full medical coverage, generous vacation, and 401(k) This is an in-office position at our Maitland location Compensation discussed during interview Who Reports to Whom This role reports directly to the firm owner.
