Job Description:
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Location:
Miami Lakes, FL Reports to: CEO Overview We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to build and manage the accounting function for a growing U.S.operation of an established Italian company. This role will be responsible for setting up processes, implementing ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), and overseeing the full accounting cycle across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in an evolving environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage full-cycle accounting (AP/AR, GL, month-end/year-end close)
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Monitor cash flow and support forecasting activities
  • Ensure proper documentation and control over transactions (POs, invoices, payments)
  • Support ERP implementation (Business Central) and process optimization
  • Coordinate with external CPA, auditors, and advisors
  • Develop monthly reporting and support future margin analysis
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. accounting standards and internal policies Context & Scope
  • Two separate legal entities currently in place (including a recently acquired business, still operating on a legacy system)
  • Opportunity to build processes from the ground up and support the future integration of both entities Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in the U.S.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to ERP implementation or optimization (Business Central a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills
Preferred:
  • CPA (or in progress)
  • Experience in small/mid-sized or growing companies
  • Exposure to inventory or cost accounting
  • Italian or Spanish is a plus Profile
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Hands-on and operationally strong, comfortable managing day-to-day accounting activities directly
  • Autonomous and self-driven, able to build structure and processes with limited supervision
  • Strong ownership mindset
  • Strong communication skills across international teams Work Environment
  • On-site to start and potential for 1-2 days remote after onboarding
  • Flexible hours: ~7:30-8.30 AM - 4.30-5:30 PM Benefits
