Job Summary The Accountant will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for the organization. This role is responsible for supervising the accounting team, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, preparing key financial statements, and supporting leadership with strategic insights. The Accountant acts as a bridge between the accounting staff and senior management, ensuring the integrity of all financial data. Responsibilities Manage the general ledger, month-end, and year-end closing processes. Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for management review. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls. Support annual audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors. Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting clerks. Collaborate with different teams to provide accurate data for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Assist management with variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting requests. Contribute to system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements. Proficiency working with D365 Business Central - a must! Advanced English and Spanish. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Technical Skills Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Skilled in implementing accounting and business controls. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Management Skills Strong written and oral communication. Sound judgment and decision-making. Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving. Ability to lead, train, and develop junior staff.
