Job Description:
Family office with investments in real estate, private equity, hedge funds, and private lending is seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for full cycle accounting function. Candidate will provide support to Controller and is expected to perform ad hoc duties as assigned. Responsibilities Prepare and review month-end financials and make adjustments as necessary Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and brokerage accounts as well as intercompany and credit card activity Prepare and process monthly sales tax return and payment Perform accounts receivable duties for internally managed properties and communicate with tenants when needed Collaborate with Property Managers on tenant matters Perform monthly billing for loan portfolio, including recording and maintaining principal and interest schedules Perform the Accounts Payable duties for the organization, including invoice tracking, obtaining approvals, disbursement, and records retention. Prepare 1099s and oversee W9 compliance Reconcile and analyze all general ledger entries and maintain supporting schedules Assist in preparation of information required for annual income tax filings including preparing work papers for external accounting firm
Required Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with multiple legal entity operations, and intercompany transactions required Well versed with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), concepts, and practices Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting Quickbooks Desktop experience is required Experience with private lending, private equity or real estate industry is highly desired
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year depending on experience
