Job Description:
Senior Fund Accountant Job Description A leading global alternative asset manager is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to support its private equity platform. This team is responsible for fund performance reporting and all aspects of accounting across a diversified portfolio of investment funds. The role offers broad exposure to fund operations, investor reporting, and collaboration with investment and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Review daily cash and investment activity Monitor and report on credit facility activity Review journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts Coordinate capital calls and distributions Review carried interest and waterfall calculations Review management fee calculations and billing statements Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports, including disclosures Produce investor capital account statements Assist with internal corporate reporting packages Respond to investor inquiries and support investor relations matters Manage regulatory reporting filings (e.g., Form
PF, AIFMD
) Partner with tax teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting data Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field CPA or progress toward certification preferred 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or fund administration Strong technical accounting and analytical skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced Excel proficiency required Experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran) is a plus
