Client Overview:
Our client is an established and growing manufacturing and distribution organization that takes pride in operational excellence and financial accuracy. Their team supports end-to-end operations, from production through distribution, and values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. They are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. They offer a professional, stable environment with room for long-term growth.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$55k - $60k
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting function for a manufacturing and distribution business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with close processes, and supporting inventory and cost-related accounting using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across departments. Responsibilities of the
Staff Accountant:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Prepare and post journal entries. Assist with monthly and annual close processes. Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations and adjustments. Assist with cost accounting related to manufacturing operations. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions as needed. Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal use. Support audits and external accountant requests. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Identify and help resolve discrepancies within financial records. Required Experience/Skills for the
Staff Accountant:
2 - 4 years of accounting experience. Experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment. Proficiency with QuickBooks. Solid understanding of general ledger accounting. Strong Excel skills (basic to intermediate). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience/Skills for the
Staff Accountant:
Inventory and cost accounting experience. Hands-on involvement in the month-end close. Experience with fixed assets and depreciation. Prior audit support experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
