Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant (QuickBooks Online Specialist)

About Us Fast-paced service company operating in the hospitality industry based in Fort Myers. We're looking for a hands-on accounting professional who can take ownership of our daily financial operations, help strengthen processes, and ensure leadership always has accurate financial visibility. This position reports to the Finance leader and has no direct reports. This is not a basic data entry role. We need someone who understands how accounting impacts operations, cash flow, and business decisions. Position Overview The Full Charge Bookkeeper will own day-to-day accounting functions, help improve our financial processes, and be proficient in QuickBooks Online. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detailed, operationally intensive business and wants to grow with the company. Key Responsibilities QuickBooks Online Management Maintain and oversee all accounting records within QuickBooks Online Ensure transactions are properly coded by department and account Must know how to create and process JEs, adjust the chart of accounts, P&L, and Balance Sheet. Knowledge of GAAP, and recognition of assets, liabilities, depreciation, and creation of schedules. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management Manage high-volume invoice processing with accuracy and urgency Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and track missing invoices Support vendor communication and payment coordination Accounts Receivable Support invoicing, payment posting, and customer account reconciliation Monitor receivables and assist with collections follow-up as needed Journal Entries & Month-End Close Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, corrections, and loan activity Support accurate monthly close and financial statement preparation Assist in P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy and analysis Reconciliations Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and financing accounts Identify discrepancies quickly and resolve issues proactively Cash Flow & Compliance Support Assist with weekly cash flow visibility and reporting Support sales tax filings, 1099 processing, and year-end documentation Work directly with leadership to support financial reporting needs What We're Looking For Experience 3+ years of full charge bookkeeping, senior bookkeeping, or staff accounting experience Strong preference for experience in high transaction volume businesses such as service, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or operational environments Technical Skills Advanced QuickBooks Online experience is required Strong Excel skills required Solid understanding of debits, credits, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement structure

From $50,000.00 per year

Can you independently reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements while identifying missing transactions or discrepancies? Do you know how to create a journal entry from raw data, such as payroll reports or accrual schedules, then enter and post it correctly in QuickBooks Online?
