Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who has strong technical accounting knowledge along with some prior leadership or supervisory exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee financial reporting for assigned property portfolios Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reconciliations Support month-end close activities, including accruals and journal entries Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Assist with intercompany and fund accounting activities when applicable Review accounting processes and help improve operational efficiencies Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff and assist with workflow oversight Partner with leadership on budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis initiatives Support audits and other ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years of accounting experience required Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting required Previous supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience preferred Experience managing portfolio financials or multi-entity accounting strongly preferred Fund accounting or intercompany accounting experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods when needed
