Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for an organization in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing close activities, and ensuring account balances are properly reviewed and documented. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing financial data, and helping ensure timely completion of all required accounting tasks.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording, reviewing, and validating financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation in accordance with accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet and other assigned accounts, researching discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
• Complete bank reconciliations on a recurring basis to confirm cash activity and investigate outstanding items.
• Analyze account activity and financial results to identify variances, inconsistencies, and areas requiring correction or follow-up.

• Demonstrated experience in senior-level accounting roles with hands-on responsibility for month-end close activities.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation and account analysis.
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations accurately and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Bachelors in Accounting and 4 years plus full cycle experience
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial reporting and documentation.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize competing assignments, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
