Job Description

Senior Accountant Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, full-time Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to key close, audit, and reporting activities. This exempt role applies advanced accounting knowledge and exercises professional judgment to support our core business objectives.

Full-Time (Potential Temp-to-Perm)
Compensation:
$80,000 / year
Key Responsibilities Financial Close:
Lead or support month?end, quarter?end, and year?end close processes.
Reporting & Reconciliation:
Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
Compliance & Research:
Research and apply accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) to complex transactions; ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Audit Support:
Prepare audit schedules, technical documentation, and respond to auditor inquiries.
Analysis:
Analyze financial results and explain variances and trends.
Strategic Support:
Support budgeting, forecasting, and special accounting projects.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience. 3+ years of experience specifically at the Senior Accountant level.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial close processes; advanced Excel and accounting system experience (experience with MIP is preferred).
