The person in this role will work closely with company leadership and internal teams to strengthen financial organization, support informed decisions, and help build efficient processes for continued growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping activities, transaction recording, and account maintenance.
  • Review and enter invoices, receipts, credit card charges, and project-related expenditures with accurate coding and documentation.
  • Monitor project costs across active jobs, ensuring budgets, committed spending, billings, deposits, draws, and retainage are tracked correctly.
  • Prepare recurring cash flow updates that highlight receivables, payables, and upcoming payment obligations for leadership review.

  • Process payroll for office and field employees on a weekly basis, ensuring time and pay information is complete and accurate.
  • Follow up with internal staff and external partners to obtain missing approvals, receipts, invoices, timecards, and other required records.
  • Work with ownership, field personnel, office staff, and vendors to keep financial and project information accurate, timely, and aligned.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting workflows, reporting practices, documentation standards, and financial controls. Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience handling full-cycle bookkeeping or project accounting responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in construction accounting or another project-driven business environment is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of job costing, payroll processing, accounts payable, and project expense tracking.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and familiarity with accounting or project management software tools.
  • Ability to manage recurring weekly deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through across multiple priorities.
