Job Description

Premier Rides is a global supplier best known for its high-tech magnetic launch roller coasters. The company is also a global supplier of traditional roller coasters, special effect dark rides and custom designed attractions. Premier's Parts & Service division offers engineering support, complete ride and train rehab, and it maintains and offers spare parts supply on a 24-hour basis. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and energetic self-starter with a background in accounting or bookkeeping with a strong practical background. The Accountant will be responsible for performing duties associated with accounts payable & accounts receivable, including check writing, recording deposits, reconciling the checking account, management of company credit card activity and summarizing monthly charges, maintaining job cost schedules for each new ride and service project, and data entry to the general ledger. Successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have a high level of accuracy for spotting numerical mistakes and must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience . This position is located in St. Petersburg, Florida.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proven working experience as accounts receivable/accounts payable or similar financial experience. Financial background in the amusement industry is preferred. Knowledge of accounting principles and processes. Skilled working with numbers and data entry. Possess practical skills with knowledge in accounts payable/receivable, data entry and account reconciliation. High degree of accuracy and detail-oriented, organized, strong written / verbal communication skills. Fluency in additional language(s) a plus. Motivated team player Proficient in Sage Accounting software as well as MS Office Suite, especially Excel. Works well under pressure, willingness to meet tight deadlines. Multi-tasker who is able to adjust to always changing priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform functions of Accounts Payable including check writing and processing payments of approved invoices from subcontractors, vendors, associations, trade publications, etc. Coordinate with Senior Management to facilitate payment of invoices. Record deposits of checks and wire transfers. Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues. Process employee expense reports. Reconcile bank accounts. Manage credit card activity and summarize monthly charges. Maintain job cost schedule for each project. Generate financial statements and reports. Process payroll. Ensure deadlines are met. Ensure continuity of workflow and accountability for task completion. Must be willing to the hours required to complete tasks.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
A minimum education requirement of a B.S. in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required. CPA certification is a plus.
