Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs routine accounting functions including but not limited to journal entries, accounts payable, account analysis, bank reconciliations, monthly closing entries, and monthly reports. In addition, this position will act as backup for accounts payable and assist other finance positions as needed.
These functions include:
Research and resolve Point of Sale (POS) transactions from the retail stores that flow into sales; direct point of contact between Finance and Retail. Maintain ASC Lease Accounting Prepares, records, and deposits all incoming checks and cash received daily to the bank. Assists the senior finance manager and the accounting supervisor with the monthly closing process. Reconcile various account receivables to the general ledger, post journal entries, prepare outstanding balance spreadsheets, apply payments, and distribute reports. Prepare and post depreciation in inventory software for all fixed asset accounts. Establish and monitor petty cash funds for internal departments under the direction of the senior finance manager. Reconcile bank statements each month for various accounts.
Job Requirements:
High school Diploma/GED and two years of experience in basic accounting principles. Subject to alcohol and drug testing. Subject to criminal history background checks.
