Job DescriptionJob Description Bookkeeper / Write-Up Staff Accountant McClanathan, Burg & Associates, LLC (MBA) is a full-service accounting firm experienced in providing financial guidance and expert consulting to high net-worth individuals and businesses. Our firms suite of financial service offerings, include (but are not limited to): Tax planning; audits, assurance and accounting; estate and trust services; forensic accounting; litigation support and business valuation. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time bookkeeper / write-up staff accountant. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a thorough knowledge of bookkeeping and experience in public accounting to contribute their expertise in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
Under managerial direction, a write-up staff accountant will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks including financial data entry, reconciliation of bank, credit and investment accounts, sales tax returns, quarterly/annual payroll tax returns and annual information returns (1099), general bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Have direct communication with assigned clients;
  • Complete and deliver work that is technically accurate and on time;
  • Review and correct inconsistencies and errors in financial entries, documents and reports;
  • Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies;
Skills/Qualifications:
  • 2-5 year experience with a CPA firm, preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks software (ProAdvisor Certification a plus);
  • Strong organization skills;
  • High attention to detail with ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A reliable team player and a solid professional, who can apply a "hands on" work style;
  • General computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
);
Salary and Benefits:
We recognize the value of your experience and certifications, and we offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 based on your qualifications.
