Staff Accountant

Impak is a growing company located in Sebastian that has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant who loves to dive into a backlog of work and bring our accounts current. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements and review of inventory. You will also run accounting software programs (e.g. QuickBooks and Sage) to process business transactions, accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts to ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Account Reconciliation
• Review of inventory
• Analyze general ledger accounts
• Entry of key financial transactions in database
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
• Constantly update job knowledge
• All other duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Knowledge or experience with inter-company relationships
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Well organized
• BA degree in accounting preferred
• Minimum two years accounting experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

High-pressured, fast-paced environment, your days will fly by in this fast-paced position working Monday-Friday. Prior Sage experience is preferred but not required.
