  • Commercial Real Estate Firm in West Palm Beach A leading South Florida real estate development firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic project-based environment and wants direct exposure to large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. In this role, you'll play a key part in the financial management of active development and construction projects, partnering closely with project teams, lenders, auditors, and senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and project accounting.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze general ledger activity, financial statements, and prepare accruals and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations and supporting workpapers Manage monthly construction loan requisitions and lender reporting requirements Review and code contractor and vendor invoices while monitoring project budgets and job costs Coordinate invoice approvals, funding requests, and vendor payments Maintain and analyze job cost reports to ensure project activity is accurately recorded Assist with annual audits and support external auditors with schedules and documentation Prepare financial reporting and provide timely information to ownership groups, lenders, and investment partners Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in construction, development, real estate, or project accounting environments Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with job costing, construction draws, loan requisitions, or development accounting is highly preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment $95K
