Job Description

Senior Accountant | Real Estate Development | West Palm Beach, FL A well-established and rapidly growing real estate development company in South Florida is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance and accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with active residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects while gaining exposure to all aspects of project accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with project managers, lenders, auditors, and executive leadership to support the financial operations of multiple development projects. Key Responsibilities Analyze general ledger activity and prepare monthly financial statements, accruals, and journal entries in compliance with GAAP. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation. Coordinate construction loan draw requests and fulfill lender reporting requirements. Review and process contractor and vendor invoices while tracking project costs against approved budgets. Assist with payment processing, funding requests, and invoice approval workflows. Monitor job cost activity and ensure accurate allocation of project-related expenses. Support year-end audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Prepare financial reports and provide information to lenders, investors, and ownership groups. Participate in process improvement initiatives and other special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Prior experience in real estate, construction, development, or project accounting environments. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with job costing, construction draws, loan funding requests, or development accounting is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment. Compensation Base salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
