Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. You will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, preparing reports, and supporting various accounting processes. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct detailed account analysis and prepare financial reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft. Support payroll management using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro; ensure accurate payroll processing and tax compliance. Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory standards; participate in internal controls testing. Handle data entry tasks with precision, including double entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing; maintain organized records for audits and reporting. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation related to governmental or non-profit accounting as applicable. Support technical accounting projects such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, or complex financial transactions. Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting software tools. Familiarity with financial systems such as Workday, Xero, Sage, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex; knowledge of payroll tax regulations is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance accurately. Knowledge of governmental or non-profit accounting standards is advantageous. Strong mathematical skills coupled with excellent attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. $59,745.40 - $71,951.45 per year
