Plant Cost Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing the manufacturing divisions' accounting and reviewing performance monthly and as needed Managing standard costing and inventory values Creating checks and balances for operational and data integrity Reviewing and booking payroll for weekly and monthly payrolls Managing cash flow and holding employees responsible to budgets Preparing and reconciling journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals monthly Handling inventory reconciliation Receivable processing and follow up Participating in the development of financial strategies as part of the Accounting Team Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Accounting Required. 2+ years of cost accounting experience preferred Manufacturing background preferred CPA certification preferred Strong Organizational skills Must be able to work strategically, and collaboratively across departments Must be effective, versatile and action-oriented and have exceptional communication skills Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Working Conditions:

Office environment within the manufacturing plant. Full-time, in-office position with occasional overtime as needed.
