Job Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. The Staff accountant is primarily responsible for accounts receivable and payable management, vendor & customer onboarding processes, review of promotional/spiff programs, and assist management with other reporting and tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts by understanding and documenting account activity, including identifying variances and providing solutions to ensure appropriate reconciliation.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other regulatory compliance with clear support documentation.
  • Ensure vendor bills are processed in the appropriate accounting period and mapped to the appropriate GL code.
  • Onboard vendor & customer accounts including tax exemptions and verifying compliance requirements.
  • Manage employee credit card activity & ensure regular expense report submission.
  • Perform monthly financial variance analysis for management.
  • Promo/Spiff/Co-Op reporting.

Education and/or
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software or ERP systems.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS)
