Position Overview:
The Senior Fixed Assets Accountant will lead the fixed asset accounting function, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. This role will be responsible for accurate asset capitalization, depreciation, and reporting, while supporting audits and partnering with internal teams on capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage fixed asset subledger including additions, disposals, and transfers
  • Perform and review monthly depreciation entries and reconciliations
  • Develop and enforce fixed asset accounting policies and procedures
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring SOX compliance
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Operations on capex tracking and forecasting
  • Analyze asset trends, prepare reports, and recommend improvements
  • Lead process improvement initiatives related to asset accounting
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in fixed asset accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, fixed asset policies, and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
