What We Need
CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Sr. Leader, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting within our Accounting and Finance division. This position falls under our Corporate line of business and is located in Atlanta, GA.This role is responsible for leading the company s SEC reporting and technical accounting functions, including oversight of all external financial reporting, accounting policy development, technical accounting research, and implementation of new accounting standards across a global organization. The position serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on complex accounting matters, strategic transactions, disclosure requirements, and financial reporting risk.
This Leader will lead the preparation and review of all SEC filings, oversee technical accounting analyses and documentation, coordinate with external auditors and cross-functional business partners, and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls. This individual will also manage and develop a team of two professionals supporting SEC reporting and technical accounting activities.
This role reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and partners closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, Internal Audit, and business finance teams globally. How We Work

Company-issued equipment + remote access Role Responsibilities Leading the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reporting deliverables, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, earnings releases, and other required filings
Overseeing preparation and reviewing of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and MD&A in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
Managing the quarterly and annual SEC reporting calendar and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
Leading technical accounting research and providing guidance on complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
Evaluating accounting implications of acquisitions, financing arrangements, restructuring activities, and other strategic transactions
Leading implementation efforts related to new accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing company accounting policies and technical accounting position papers
Overseeing technical accounting analyses related to revenue recognition, purchase accounting, goodwill, CECL, derivatives, and equity/debt transactions
Supporting continued compliance with
U.S. GAAP, SEC
regulations, and SOX/internal control requirements
Driving process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization efforts across reporting activities
Partnering with external auditors, Internal Audit, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, and finance leadership
Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of two professionals supporting SEC reporting and technical accounting functions
Partnering with the global accounting organization controllership to educated and support continued accounting acumen
Benchmarking peer company disclosures and monitor evolving SEC reporting requirements Qualifications & Skills Bachelor s degree in Accounting required; Master s degree preferred
Active CPA license required
8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
Combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred
Deep technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Strong experience preparing and reviewing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q
Experience with technical accounting research and preparation of accounting memoranda
Strong understanding of SOX/internal controls and public company reporting processes
Experience supporting acquisitions, purchase accounting, and integration-related accounting matters
Advanced Excel skills and Workiva experience strongly preferred
