Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join our CPA firm. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, client-focused, and experienced in bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and accounting software platforms. The right candidate will be able to manage multiple client accounts, communicate professionally with clients, solve problems efficiently, and work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Bookkeeping & Accounting
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients
  • Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries
  • Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
  • Assist with cleanup and correction of accounting records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
  • Assist clients with accounting system organization and maintenance Payroll & Payroll Tax
  • Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and on schedule
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns (941s, 940s, state payroll returns, W-2s, etc.)
  • Handle payroll tax deposits and compliance requirements
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and notices
  • Assist clients with payroll-related questions and issues
  • Maintain employee payroll records and documentation Tax Preparation
  • Prepare individual income tax returns
  • Gather, organize, and review client tax documents
  • Communicate with clients regarding missing information or follow-up items
  • Assist with tax planning support and tax-related administrative tasks
  • Respond to IRS and state tax notices when needed Non-Profit Accounting
  • Maintain bookkeeping records for non-profit organizations
  • Perform fund accounting and restricted fund tracking
  • Assist with preparation of reports for boards, grants, and compliance purposes
  • Ensure proper classification of funds and expenses Client Communication & Service
  • Communicate professionally and confidently with clients by phone, email, and in person
  • Answer client questions regarding bookkeeping, payroll, and tax matters
  • Resolve client issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Build strong client relationships through dependable service and communication
  • Follow up on outstanding items and maintain organized client workflows Software & Technical Skills

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or tax preparation
