Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Hiram, Ohio. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records across various accounting functions. Responsibilities:

• Oversee general accounting functions, including managing ledgers and preparing accurate financial statements.
• Coordinate and facilitate fiscal year-end audits, presenting findings to organizational leadership.
• Supervise business office operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, grants, procurement, and cash management.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to ensure compliance and provide guidance across departments.
• Prepare detailed internal and external financial reports and analyses to inform decision-making.
• Manage bank accounts, monitor cash flow projections, and ensure adherence to bond covenants.
• File tax forms, complete surveys, and handle required regulatory filings to maintain compliance.
