Compensation:
$55,000-60,000/year Vaco is partnering with a faith?based non?profit organization in Gwinnett County, GA to hire a Staff Accountant . This full?time, on?site role, supports the Accounting Manager with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, donations, and grant processing, month?end close, audit preparation, and other accounting functions. The ideal candidate is a committed to their faith and active in a local evangelical church, with at least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V/H/X Lookups, and formulas), excellent attention to detail, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Summary of Responsibilities Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Compiles financial data to aid in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Perform Excel-based reconciliations of ACH and credit card donations, by date, source donor, fund, and settlement period. Recording charitable contributions, including the preparation of gift receipts. Perform Excel-based reconciliations of internal cash transfers, by date, source fund, and bank or brokerage account. Prepare, review and process general ledger journal entries for ACH and credit card donations. Prepare, review, and enter approved ACH grant disbursements. Perform bank statement reconciliations. Support the month-end close process and aid with preparation for the annual external audit. Special projects as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years' accounts payable, accounts receivable or general bookkeeping experience Bachelors in Accounting or sufficient equivalent experience required. A Christian whose life reflects mature spiritual growth and a commitment to ministry Active in a local evangelical church Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, formulas, etc.) - Required Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge - Preferred A desire to serve others and be a key player in a small team environment. A high degree of integrity and ethical behavior. Ability to maintain sensitivity to confidential matters. Ability to pass a criminal and financial background check. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
