On-site The Impact You'll Make This is your chance to be more than just an analyst; you will be a financial detective for our Ames plant. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our cost control framework, bringing a new level of transparency and clarity to our financial reporting that will guide our operational strategy. Reporting directly to the Plant Controller, your analysis will do more than just track numbers—it will tell a story. You will investigate variances, uncover root causes, and provide the critical insights our production leaders need to improve efficiency and profitability on the factory floor. Your work will directly contribute to our success by ensuring financial integrity and empowering our teams with the data they need to make smart, impactful decisions. What You'll Be Doing As a Cost Analyst, you will be a key financial partner to our operations. You will have the opportunity to: Drive the monthly financial close process , delivering accurate and timely reporting that provides clear visibility into plant performance. Dive deep into manufacturing costs by analyzing variances in price, scrap, and material usage to uncover root causes and recommend improvements. Act as a trusted financial partner to our production team leaders , providing the cost analysis and profitability insights they need to make smart decisions. Enhance our reporting capabilities by leveraging tools like SAP and Business Intelligence to support the annual budget process and other financial initiatives. Ensure financial integrity by applying accounting principles to all tasks and proactively investigating and resolving questions with strong attention to detail. What We're Looking For We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive analyst who is eager to make an impact.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting . 1+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing environment . High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting systems such as SAP or Business Intelligence (BI) . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent communication and time management skills , with a flexible and results-oriented mindset. Able to work in the US, without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
