Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a contract with our client in Ames, IA. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of the organization and therefore, requires an individual of high caliber with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities:

+ Detailed review and preparation of revenue, cost of sales, expense, and balance sheet account reconciliations + Development and maintenance of key financial reports + Assisting in budget preparation and management + Management of accounts payable and receivable + Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and corporate policies, procedures, and regulations + Assisting in annual audits + Contribute to special projects to improve reporting, analytical tools, and internal processes.

Requirements Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + Minimum 3+ years accounting experience is required. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills. + Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail. + Working knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Experience with accounting software.
