Physicians' Clinic of Iowa is seeking a dynamic individual to join our growing organization as a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting monthly closing processes, maintaining financial records and preparing detailed financial reports. Will work with the Financial Controller and Practice Directors on special projects. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Prepare and maintain precise work papers for balance sheet accounts and assigned PCI department/sites; reconcile balances with general ledger monthly Prepare, post, and document journal entries for assigned PCI departments/sites Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned PCI departments/sites Prepare internal and external financial reports Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends and variances
Qualifications:
The leading candidate will have a BA in Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; two to five years of relevant accounting experience preferred. Experience with payroll is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and related computer systems. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork. Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
