Job Description Senior Accountant Expanding Charlotte corporate office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance and accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be instrumental in driving accurate financial reporting, leading month-end close activities, improving processes, and delivering meaningful financial insights that support key business decisions. This role offers diverse responsibilities, strong visibility within the organization, and opportunities for professional growth. Salary up to 95k plus bonus with excellent benefits
Responsibilities :
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations. Prepare reports (monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc) timely and accurately. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses. Monitor and improve accounting processes and procedures. Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy. Collaborate with departments across the organization to resolve accounting issues and improve financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. 5 years of general accounting Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Requires excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft and Excel.
