Moyna & Sons, LLC. 5 reviews From $50,000 a year - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an eager Staff Accountant to join the office team. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting with customer billing, collections, cash application, and account analysis while gaining exposure to other accounting functions throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a career in accounting within a fast-paced construction environment. Accounts Receivable Prepare and distribute customer invoices. Process customer payments and apply cash receipts accurately. Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances. Assist with collections activities and customer account inquiries. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate customer records within the accounting system. Support month-end accounts receivable closing activities. General Accounting Support Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. Prepare journal entries under the direction of senior accounting staff. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Assist with bank reconciliations and account analysis. Maintain organized accounting records and documentation. Support preparation of financial reports and schedules. Project and Administrative Support Assist with project billing and related documentation. Support accounting audits and compliance reviews. Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives. Provide backup support to other accounting functions as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, banking, or office administration experience preferred but not required. Construction industry experience is a plus but not required. Experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Willingness to learn new systems and accounting processes. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
