Staff Accountant

We are a CPA firm looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team! Work will be varied, giving you a wide range of experience. You will be responsible for preparing financial records and preparing and filing payroll, and sales and income tax returns for our clients. You must be deadline oriented and have strong organizational skills. You will need to pass a background check prior to employment. Salary will be based upon experience and type of position.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports Run payroll for multiple organizations and file quarterly payroll tax reports Make tax deposits File sales tax returns Assist with income tax preparation ​

Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounting Must have a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles Knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software Experience with income tax return preparation is a plus Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients Detail oriented Must be able to prioritize and multi-task Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a plus We offer paid time off, holidays, a summer flex time schedule, 401(k) with a company match and health/dental/vision insurance.
