In this role with our Client Accounting Services (CAS) division, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing accounting functions for multiple clients, including supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). You will play a key part in managing various accounting functions, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in accounting for a range of small and medium-sized businesses in different industries within a collaborative, positive, and fast-paced environment. Duties Manage ongoing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intact, and Zoho. Support payroll management tasks utilizing systems like ADP, Quickbooks Online, Gusto, and Paylocity. Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify financial data integrity. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation. Conduct data entry with high precision, maintaining detailed records for small and medium-sized businesses. Support tax preparation activities by gathering relevant financial data and ensuring proper documentation. Reconcile the general ledger regularly to identify discrepancies and correct errors promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, financial analysis, tax and assurance. Requirements Prior experience (at least one year) in public accounting or internal accounting is required. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intact, Zoho, and QuickBooks Desktop is highly desirable. Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial concepts related to bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and double-entry bookkeeping. Experience with payroll management systems like ADP, Quickbooks Online, Gusto, and Paylocity is highly desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office365 is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and account analysis accurately. Excellent math skills with attention to detail for data entry and account verification tasks. Ability to adapt quickly to new technology will be critical in this role, including the use of AI tools and other project management tools.
