Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant who thrives in a hands-on operational environment and enjoys improving processes, solving problems, and building scalable accounting operations. Essential Job Functions:
Own core accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate and timely month-end close Analyze financial data and independently investigate and resolve discrepancies Support and improve billing, collections, and cash application processes Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, including complex or variable billing components Partner cross-functionally with operational teams to resolve issues and improve processes Assist with financial reporting, audit support, and documentation requests Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and operational scalability Develop and maintain organized accounting procedures and supporting documentation Provide support and backup coverage across accounting functions as needed Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reporting accuracy
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and operational accounting functions Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to identify and improve accounting or operational processes preferred Experience working in fast-paced, evolving business environments preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Proactive, solution-oriented mindset Strong communication and collaboration skills Sound judgment and professionalism Commitment to continuous improvement CPA or CPA candidate preferred
