CPA PART TIME

Job Summary CPA to assist a small company entering all paperwork for the company into Xero. Must have experience doing accounting or books with Xero. Part time with flexible schedule. Duties Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and general ledger reconciliation Assist with tax planning, tax return preparation, and compliance for individual, corporate, and non-profit clients Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using accounting software Xero Perform analysis of financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives Ensure adherence to securities law, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory reporting requirements Contribute to financial report writing and interpretation to aid management decision-making Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence and financial analysis Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping entries, and asset management documentation Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax accounting, and financial concepts Experience with estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law is a plus Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or similar platforms Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law, and regulatory reporting standards Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively Strong understanding of auditing procedures, internal controls (including SOX), and general ledger reconciliation Ability to perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation efficiently Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is advantageous Effective communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
