RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Assist with grant accounting and fund tracking, including restricted and unrestricted funds. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and reporting requirements. Utilize Sage Intacct to maintain financial records and reporting. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits and tax filings. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. Partner with leadership to support organizational financial goals and strategic initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment. Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP/accounting software. Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles. Experience with grant accounting, fund accounting, and financial reporting. Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
