General Ledger Accountant

Robert Half is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical General Ledger (GL) Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and compliance activities within a multi‑entity environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial data while supporting organizational values and operational goals. This is an onsite position in Sandpoint, ID. This position does offer the option to work a "Four 10's" schedule, Monday- Thursday. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough research and analysis of historical financial dataReview accounting transactions for accuracy and completenessPerform general ledger and account reconciliationsComplete month‑end close activitiesCompare anticipated versus actual results and identify variances and improvement opportunitiesResearch and resolve payment discrepancies; process insurance payment adjustmentsPost payments and prepare monthly metricsPrepare accurate financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership and board meetingsSupport compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory requirementsMaintain strict confidentiality of financial information, including HIPAA complianceCommunicate responsively and professionally with team members, leadership, and external partnersMaintain professional growth and stay current on accounting standards and regulationsKeep supervisor informed of departmental activities, risks, and needsEnsure adherence to policies, procedures, and performance standardsPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned
