Financial Planners is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to join our team in a unique role that combines internal accounting responsibilities with client tax support. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in both the operations of our firm and the service we provide to our clients. The position is initially expected to be up to 30 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as responsibilities expand. Position Responsibilities Internal Accounting & Payroll Manage payroll processing using QuickBooks to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation. Perform detailed account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to maintain financial integrity. Handle all firm bill paying and related functions Enter and review journal entries with precision, supporting double entry bookkeeping and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Assist with benefits administration tasks related to payroll deductions and employee benefit programs. Maintain accurate financial records for the firm's three business entities. Prepare and coordinate ongoing financial statements and reporting. Work closely with the firm's external accounting professionals regarding tax filings and other accounting matters. Client Tax Support Provide tax-related expertise and support to the our Advisory team. Assist Advisors in identifying and addressing tax planning opportunities for clients. Collaborate within a team-based wealth management environment focused on serving clients' best interests. Support the firm's commitment to comprehensive, fiduciary-based financial planning.
Qualifications:
Hands-on accounting experience required, particularly in payroll administration and financial statement preparation and bill paying. Experience with QuickBooks preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. CPA designation preferred but not required. Tax preparation, tax planning, or related tax experience is highly desirable. Why Join
