Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accountant/Bookkeeper/Customer Care specialist. This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity to manage core accounting functions while providing exceptional support to our clients and internal teams. You will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure financial accuracy. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare financial reports that support decision-making and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Maintain precise records of payroll processing, tax filings, and government reporting requirements related to nonprofit or corporate accounting. Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and technical accounting tasks to support organizational financial health. Provide excellent customer care by responding promptly to client inquiries, resolving billing issues, and offering guidance on financial software tools. Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with GAAP standards is essential. Strong understanding of corporate or nonprofit accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and tax regulations related to financial reporting is a plus. Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account analysis, payroll processing, and 10-key typing for efficient data entry. Ability to perform detailed balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation accurately. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach; capable of handling multiple priorities effectively. Technical proficiency in financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, budget management, and financial report writing.
